Laser Therapy

Laser therapy has been used on pets for many years to promote healing and relieve pain and inflammation—and the best part? It’s drug-free, non-invasive, and has no side effects!

By focusing red and infrared light on tissue at and below the surface of the skin, we can promote and speed healing as well as stimulate the body to produce pain-relieving hormones. Laser therapy treatments for pets usually only take 5-10 minutes, requires no sedation, and has been effective in treating:

  • Arthritis
  • Joint injuries
  • Hot spots
  • Ear infection
  • Wounds
  • Anal gland problems
  • Chronic nasal congestion
  • Gingivitis/Stomatitis
  • Chronic abdominal inflammation

We’d love to show you how laser therapy can help your pet have improved quality of life—give us a call at 843-797-1493 and find out if this innovative treatment is right for your pet.

Porkchop came to see us when she was 13 years old and suffering from severe arthritis pain in her hips, knees, and joints. Her family told us that she rarely moved around much, even requiring hand feeding because it was too painful for her to get up and stand at her food bowl. She was also hiding from grandchildren, refusing walks, and only with great difficulty was she able to get outside to go potty.

We suggested laser therapy, and after Porkchop’s first appointment, her family reported she seemed to feel better and was limping less when she did walk. Three months and several laser therapy sessions later, Porkchop is back to playing with the grandkids when they visit, going for regular strolls around the block, and has lost seven pounds (quite a bit for a 48-lb dog!).

Porkchop’s life was significantly improved by laser therapy in just a few short months, and her family couldn’t be happier!
