Dr. Kayli Nelson was raised in Buffalo, New York (Go Bills!).
She received a Bachelor's degree in Zoology from SUNY Oswego and completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at University of Florida.
Dr. Nelson enjoys ophthalmology and she has a special interest in aquatic animal medicine. She has a passion for sea turtles and has experience with sea turtle medicine and rehab from her time at Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, Florida.
Dr. Nelson has a zoo of animals at home, with four cats (Schmidt, Gamora, Gandalf, and Corn), a turtle named Oogway, an energetic pitbull named Archie and a sweet chihuahua mix named Noodle. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing the French horn, exercising, going to the beach, and watching movies.
