Dr. Cheri Hooper
Dr. Cheri Hooper joined the College Park Road Veterinary family in January, 2008. She graduated from the University College Dublin School of Veterinary Medicine. She also has experience in both day practice and emergency medicine. Dr. Hooper has special interest in small animal surgery. When she is not here at College Park she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. She also enjoys running, Crossfit and camping. Her dog Brigels works with our reception staff in greeting you when you arrive in the office at College Park Vet Clinic.
Dr. Katie Hill
Dr. Katie Hill joined the CPRVC team in May 2015. She graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Following graduation she completed an internship at Auburn University. Dr. Hill’s interests include preventative medicine and dentistry. In her free time she enjoys spending time on her family’s farm in Ridgeville, fishing with her husband, Travis, and enjoying time with their three dogs: Katie Too (rat terrier), Link (dachshund), and Tupper (German shorthair pointer).
Dr. Matthew Fortin
Dr. Matthew Fortin joined the CPRVC team in June 2015, shortly after graduating from Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to starting veterinary school, Dr. Fortin spent time volunteering with the ASPCA and the Wildlife Conservation Society’s New York Aquarium. He has also volunteered with the Human Society’s Rural Area Veterinary Service. Dr. Fortin’s special interests include soft tissue surgery, cardiology and shelter medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Fortin enjoys mountain biking, sailing, downhill skiing, and sitting on the beach with his wife Nicole and their Shepherd mix, Maggie and Newfoundland, Clementine.
Deana joined the CPRVC team in March of 2008. She was born and raised in Summerville,SC . Outside of work, Deana enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her Husband and Little Girl. Deana has a passion for deer hunting. She has a shepherd mix named Folly, a maltese named Roxy, and a cat named Barney.
Ke joined the CPRVC team in March 2014. Ke was born and raised in Washington, DC. She moved to Charleston, SC in 2006, along with her 4 kids . In her free time she loves to hang out on the beach, reading with her dog Bazel.
Jen joined the CPRVC team in January of 2018. She was born and raised in Michigan, but has lived out west and most recently lived on Nantucket Island in MA! Outside of work, she spends time with her husband and 2 children. Their Viszla, Grady, tags along on all their outdoor adventures!
LVT / Head Surgery Technician
Mara joined the CPRVC team in June 2013. Mara was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She moved to Charleston, SC in 2008. Mara has a passion for small animal surgery and dentistry. She received a Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Technology at the University of Puerto Rice. Mara has a son named Giovanni, an Alaskan Malamute named Yukon, Terrier Mix named Luna, and a cat named Helen Keller.
Ashley joined the CPRVC team in August 2017. Ashley was born and raised in Monroe, Michigan. Ashley and her Husband moved to Charleston, SC in 2017. Ashley has a passion for animals. She graduated from Stautzenberger College in 2007 with an associates degree in applied science. In her free time she enjoys paddleboarding, camping, hiking, and being outdoors. She has a dog named Rome, and 2 cats, Gin and Tonic.
Jordanne joined the CPRVC team in June 2017 . Jordanne was born and raised in Upstate NY. Jordanne moved to Charleston, SC from Tennessee in June 2017 . She is on her 4th semester in the vet tech program . Jordanne has a dog named Kylie, 2 cats Tuna and Mama, and a chinchilla named Doodle.
Caleb joined the CPRVC team in January 2017 . He was born and raised in Richmond, VA. He moved to Charleston, SC in 2011 . Caleb enjoys biking, running, and spending time with his daughter Cora. He has a shepherd mix named Diego, and a fiesty cat named Ellie.
Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant
Wendy joined the CPRVC team in January 2018. Wendy was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica. She moved to Greenville, SC in 2015 and attended Clemson University, where she graduated with a degree in animal veterinary sciences, and a business minor in December 2017. She now lives in Summerville, SC with her husband, cat Piper, and dog Tilly May.
Otis - Clinic Cat
Otis has been a part of our team since 2011. He was brought in with a compound fracture to his front leg. Dr. Hooper fell in love with him and decided our clinic was just not complete without a cat. Otis had his leg amputated and now enjoys an easy life of lounging and bossing technicians around to fulfill his every demand.
